Former Premier League player Troy Deeney believes Chelsea star is “one of the best players” already. Deeney suggests that Cole Palmer is already one of the bests in the Chelsea squad. Palmer joined Stamford Bridge for a sum of £42.5m from Manchester City this summer.
Since then, the youngster has been a revelation for the Blues. He has scored eight goals and provided six assists so far in this campaign. However, Chelsea are going through a horrendous season.
However, Palmer is still creating his own image in the world by his performances. The English international is the star around which Mauricio is trying to build his squad around.
Speaking to The Sun, Deeney praised Palmer by saying –
“Not only is this guy one of the best in England right now, but I will expand that and say one of the best on the planet. He is that good.Punters said he made a mistake leaving his boyhood Manchester City in the summer in a shock £42.5million switch after winning it all at such a young age.
But the young man has proven to be worth every penny of his price tag, and does not look fazed in the slightest. I am certain he is going to have another amazing year in a Chelsea shirt, with the Euros also on the horizon…”
Although Palmer is a gigantic potential, he still has a long way to go. Nevertheless, he is definitely one of the best signings under their new ownership. According to latest reports, he is valued higher than Arsenal star Declan Rice.
If Chelsea want to improve during the second half of the season their talisman attacker should be the one scoring and creating lot of chances.
