Thomas Tuchel’s blue and white army lost in their FA cup final against Leicester City. He could have won his first trophy with Chelsea but his focus is now on Wednesday’s game. He will get another chance to win silverware as they face Manchester City in an all-English UCL final.

Tuchel is frustrated with VAR. Many managers including him, have now called on to clear the doubts regarding what exactly the handballs rules are, amidst so many contradicting decisions this season.

Reece James’ pass was intercepted by Ayoze Perez that involved the ball hitting his hand and led to the only goal in the game. Tielemans scored the goal which Tuchel claimed to be “lucky”.

He said his side’s efforts were enough but luck was not on their side. Ben Chilwell was also denied a last-minute equalizer when his goal was ruled offside by VAR

Chelsea was also denied a penalty in Wednesday’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal. Rob Holding’s block with his arm went unpunished and he admitted to having no idea of what now constitutes handball. Tuchel is annoyed with why VAR had not checked the replay against Arsenal.

“The players said straight away it was a handball,”

“So now for the second game in a row there was a handball against us, and VAR is not interfering. Against Arsenal, there was one on the line, and again today.

He further added such incidents are very decisive in a game of such importance and that there is no guarantee that you will end up with a trophy.

“I’m not an expert in handball anymore, I don’t know when it’s handball or not. I don’t know anymore when they need to punish it or it’s OK to play with the hand.”

The Blues accepted their defeat and could look for redemption with the next game against the Foxes as they battle to claim their top-four spot with Liverpool breathing down their neck.
