Thomas Tuchel wants Chelsea trio at Bayern Munich. The German is appointed as the new manager replacing Julian Nagelsmann.

According to Calciomercato, Kovacic and Mendy are targets for the Bundesliga Giants, as both the players are tipped to leave Chelsea soon.

Tuchel is now tipped to target Chelsea duo Mateo Kovacic and Eduardo Mendy after taking over at Bayern. Former Blues manager is looking to reunite with both the stars at The Allianz Arena.

Kovacic was a key player under Tuchel ,while Mendy’s form dipped after his departure from Stanford Bridge. However, both are now under Bayern’s radar and they will look to sign them in the summer transfer window.

Both Kovacic and Mendy are out of favour at Chelsea. New owners are looking to offload some players in summer transfer window to make space for more signings.

Tuchel also wants Chelsea’s assistant coach Anthony Barry, who worked closely with Tuchel at Stanford Bridge. Barry has remained a key part of the backroom staff under current manager Graham Potter.

Reports claims that Tuchel is looking to bring Barry at Bayern, who is regarded as one of best young coaches in Europe. Barry coached Wigan before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2020. He has also coached at international level with Portugal, Belgium and the Republic of Ireland.

Tuchel said on Saturday that he was stunned at being offered the position. He told reporters:-

“Believe me or not, I was a bit dumbstruck in the first 30 seconds of our first discussion,

“I didn’t know what we were talking about. It became clear that it was for right now.

“I was completely surprised. The timing was surprising. There was no contact beforehand.”

Moreover, he will be delighted with his new project at Bayern.
