Two strikers Bayern Munich could sign to replace Robert Lewandoski.

Bayern Munich are reportedly targetting a striker. They intend to sign a striker who has the goal-scoring capabilities like Robert Lewandoski.

However, according to reports, the Bundesliga giants are struggling to find the perfect striker to replace the Poland international. Although, scouting teams of the German club are already searching for the perfect player.

THE ROBERT LEWANDOSKI TRANSFER EXIT SAGA FULL STORY

When the summer transfer window started, Lewandoski made it clear he wanted to leave the Bundesliga club to play for a new club. As soon as he made himself available for a transfer Barcelona immediately jumped into the discussions. Barca manager and legendary midfielder Xavi made it clear that they wanted Lewandoski at any price. The discussions were so positive that he agreed personal terms with the La Liga club.

However, there was a struggle between Barcelona and Bayern Munich on the fee for the striker. After rejecting two bids, the German club finally accepted a bid by the Catalans. The transfer was confirmed yesterday by both the clubs. However, now the german club will start with their plans to replace the Poland striker. Whereas, Lewandoski travels to the USA for pre-season with Barcelona.

TWO STRIKERS THAT COULD BE PERFECT FOR BAYERN MUNICH

Although, the club have a number of great attacking options like Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, and Sadio Mane. However, they still need to find a central striker to replace Lewandoski. According to reports, Bayern Munich could target one of the two strikers. The number one striker target might be Harry Kane. He is yet to agree a contract extension with Spurs. However, he has been deemed untouchable by Tottenham and the club are trying hard to tie him to a new contract.

The next option is Victor Osimhen. He is regarded as one of the best young forwards in Europe. He is scoring well for Napoli. However, he has still three years left on his contract. Although, the player is open to trying a new adventure. However, the Italian giants have slapped a price tag in excess of £80m. Although at the age of 23, Bayern would acquire a striker that would develop over the next few seasons.

However, the problem for the new signing will be to replicate Robert Lewandoski’s success at Bayern Munich. The Poland international won eight Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokal trophies, and a Champions League trophy. He also scored 344 goals in 375 appearances in his career.
