Chelsea travels to Swedish as they face Malmo at the Eleda Stadion in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Despite the ongoing injury crises, Chelsea were victorious against Newcastle United on Saturday in the Premier League. Reece James score two goals and late on in the game Jorginho converted a penalty as Chelsea beat Newcastle United 3-0. Chelsea sit on top of the Premier League with 25 points from 10 games.

The previous Champions League meeting between the two clubs saw Chelsea put four goals past Malmo. But the clash also saw Chelsea striker duo Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku leave the field injured.

Chelsea’s injury problems have only gone worse. Both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner have not been featured since going off injured against Malmo. And are not expected to be back until after the international break.

American winger Christian Pulisic has been on the sidelines for over a month with an ankle injury. Thomas Tuchel confirmed that he is close to returning to full fitness. Chelsea certainly does not want to throw him into action too early and re-injure his ankle.

Mateo Kovacic picked a hamstring injury in training. Kovacic is set to be on the sidelines for a few weeks and his return date from injury is not confirmed. N’Golo Kante has been struggling with injuries all season but did make his return from injury in the match against Newcastle.

On the other hand, Hakim Ziyech is back from injury and started the game against Newcastle United. He will be looking to cement his place in the starting lineup. Kai Havertz starting as the makeshift striker in absence of Lukaku and Werner. And should be leading the attack yet again for Chelsea alongside Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Malmo

Chelsea probable starting lineup against Malmo:

Mendy, Alonso, Rudiger, Christensen, Chalobah, James, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Ziyech, Havertz.

Despite all the injury crises, Chelsea still have too much talent for Malmo to handle. And should comfortably beat Malmo in hope of putting pressure on Group leaders Juventus and securing qualification for the next stage of the Champions League.
