Valencia will choose one Atletico Madrid wingers for loan

Atletico Madrid are now on a mission to reduce their wage bill to comply with the Financial Fair Play Regulations. According to the FFP, Atletico can only sign players if they can offload their deadwood this summer. Now, Atletico have two wingers at their disposal and they can offload one of them. Nevertheless, Valencia would like to grab this oppurtunity by both hands.

According to the reports, the Wanda Metropolitano outfit put Joao Felix on the transfer list. This might be because of the rumours circling that they might sign Cristiano Ronaldo. However, their fans don’t seem much pleased with that rumour.

On the other hand, Joao Felix may be out of Madrid this summer. The Portuguese wonderkid has not yet achieved the heights expected of him after his move to Atletico from Benfica in 2019. An exit might be on the cards. North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are the most interested parties. Joao Felix came with high hopes and a price tag equally as high. He took the world by storm in his native Portugal. Felix, a standout for Atletico Madrid, is apparently available, and Diego Simeone has supposedly changed his mind about the striker.

Who are the targets of Valencia

Valencia shortlisted two players of Atletico Madrid for acquiring one of them for a loan this for the upcoming season. Rodrigo Riquelme and Samule Lino are those wingers that Los Che registered interest in but will bring only one.

The Brazilian winger Lino joined Diego Simeone’s side this month but is to make a single appearance for the club. However, looks like Lino didn’t impress Simeone and might leave before the start of the season. On the other hand, Riquelme spent his last season on loan at Miranda and is now back with Atletico Madrid B. Though Lino might be the better option for Valencia to pursue, it is unlikely that the Los Rojas will let go of a recent signing.
