Former Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal heaps praises for Indian star batter Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli and team India is gearing up for the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. India will face their arch-rivals Pakistan on 2nd September.
Ahead of the Asia Cup, veteran off-spinner Saeed Ajmal lauds Kohli for his consistent performance. He was impressed by Kohli’s mindset even during his lean phase. Saeed Ajmal thinks of Kohli in the same league as Sachin Tendulkar. Ajmal said, both of them knows their Strengths and Weakness very well.
Saeed Ajmal says,
“Virat Kohli is a world-class player. Like every player, he also underwent a lean patch. A lot was said then but a good batter cannot always score a century in every outing. Anyways, he along with Sachin (Tendulkar) is the leading run-scorer which testifies their skills and how good they are. Like Sachin, he has performed consistently for the team. He knows his strengths and weaknesses and he plays accordingly“
Virat Kohli and Babar Azam has a lot of similarities: Saeed Ajmal
Ajmal also said that Pakistan’s Skipper and currently no.1 ODI batter Babar Azam is similar to Virat Kohli. He thinks both of them has similar style of play. Both, Virat and Babar builds their innings in similar manner.
The 45-Year says,
“Virat and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam have a lot of similarities. They start cautiously but accelerate at the right time in the shortest format. They reach fifty in no time. These are signs of a great player. They are effortless and can play match-winning knocks in any situation,“
India to face Pakistan on 2nd September,
Arch-rivals will be locking horns once in the Asia Cup, on 2nd September, in Pallekele, Kandy. All the eyes will be on Virat Kohli and Babar Azam as they will play crucial role for their respective teams. This will be the contest fans are looking forward to.
