Virat Kohli praised Hooda for the uppercut

Virat Kohli and his runs have an outstanding relation against Pakistan. He hardly ever fails to gift his fans some big scores against Pak. Yesterday was nothing new. He smashed his 32nd T-20 half-century. While he was witnessing the loss of wickets from the other side, he still maintained a strike rate of 147.50. However, his knock could dim his reaction to one of Deepak Hooda’s shots!

It was the 19th over when Pakistan’s pacer Naseem Shah came to bowl. Deepak Hooda faced the second ball of the over and hit an uppercut. It was a bit late but never mind. The ball went over keeper Rizwan’s head to the long slip. Hooda almost bends his body into a bow while hitting, by finally fell down on the ground failing to keep his balance. The shot however earned him praise from Kohli.

Kohli came applauding Hooda’s shot with his bat. The video gave ample proof of how Kohli enjoyed Hooda’s shot. Kohli. Hooda however couldn’t stand longer. He went off to Naseem Shah’s ball, scoring 16 from 14 balls. It was indeed Virat Kohli who stood tall till the 19th over but got run out by a stunning throw from Asif Ali.

Virat Kohli, the real “Wall” against Pakistan

The opening batters’ strike rate was too good! At one time the projected score nearly showed 200. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma scored 28 runs at a strike rate of 175. He smashed 3 boundaries and two huge sixes. KL Rahul (28) moreover gave good company to his skipper. The two registered their fastest-ever 50 partnership against Pakistan.

However, Virat Kohli (60 off 44) was the showstopper. He showed some glimpses of the vintage Virat Kohli.

Kohli however deserves huge credit for what India achieved last night. Pakistan spinners, especially the leg-spinner Shadab Khan were outstanding. (2/31 in 4 overs). Shadab took valuable wickets of both Rahul and Rishabh Pant (14).
