Many former and current cricketers recently gave their opinions on Virat Kohli.

While some want Kohli to be back in the business of making runs for India, others were of the opinion that Kohli should take a rest.

BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly was not happy with Virat’s recent performance.

He said that Virat should be back into his original form soon.

On the other hand, former India pacer Ashish Nehra backed Kohli’s decision to take a rest from the game and come back refreshed.

Even Ravichandran Ashwin commented that Virat’s energy is infectious and he just uplifts the vibes of the team on the field.

Kohli has not been able to perform well for the last two and a half years.

His last international century came way back in 2019.

Kohli also could not perform well in the fifth Test against England at Edgbaston.

In the second and third T20Is as well, Kohli was dismissed for very few runs.

Kohli also had a very poor run in the IPL this year for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Nehra said that a break from the West Indies series will do Virat good as he will come back refreshed for the Asia Cup.

Kohli has not been included in both the ODIs and the T20Is against the West Indies.

Previously, Kapil Dev also raised questions on Kohli’s form after the latter could not score runs.
