We are ready for big game: Babar Azam on Super 4 game against India

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam talks about India-Pakistan game in Asia Cup Super 4’s. Notably, the arch-rivals will face each again on September 10th, in Colombo.

Pakistan have won their first Super 4 game against Bangladesh in Lahore. Now, they will lock-horns will their arch-rivals India in the second game. With the first game been wash-out both teams are looking forward to this clash. However, rain is predicted to interrupt this game as well.

Ahead of the much-anticipated clash against India. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam took centre stage and opined that. They don’t feel the pressure of taking on India. And that the win against Bangladesh instilled a lot of confidence in the side.

Babar said in post-match presentation,

No, not really (pressure ahead of big game?) This win will give us confidence; we are always ready for a big match. We will give our 100 percent in the next match,”

Babar Azam praise his pace bowling battery

Furthermore, Babar Azam also reflected on his side’s performance against Bangladesh, which helped them register a dominant win. The 28-year-old heaped massive praise on his bowling attack for limiting Bangladesh to a low total and eventually helping them get a win as well.

He adds on,

Yeah, the credit goes to all the boys, especially to the fast bowlers, the way they bowled in the first 10 overs, and especially Rauf was really good. Faheem Ashraf bowled very well, I saw the grass on the pitch and thought of going with the extra seamer,” 

However, in the latest update ACC has kept a reserved day for India-Pakistan clash. If the game cannot be completed on 10th due to rain, 11th is kept as reserved day. Were the match can continue on 11th September from the point where the game stop on previous day.
