Wesley Fofana might have to delay his Premier League return due to his injury

It has been reported that this is a recurrence of the injury that he suffered back in October. There is no time frame given as to when the player will return back to Premier League. Reports say,

“Wesley Fofana has had scans on what is believed to be a recurrence of the stretched knee ligament he suffered in October.”

It further stated,

“A timeframe for his recovery is yet to be determined but he is expected to be out of contention for Chelsea’s return game against Bournemouth.”

He had only made seven appearances for the Foxes in the 2021-22 season due to a broken leg. Fans would be hoping that his latest injury problem will not keep him out for much time.

The World Cup break was a much-needed pause for Chelsea after their bad run in the Premier League. They will need some serious improvement if they wish to even finish in the top 4 of the table. Their bad run had put them in the eighth position at the league table. The Chelsea manager Graham Potter is already under a lot of pressure since joining the club back in September.
