On Saturday, West Bromwich Albion will host Brighton & Hove Albion in an FA Cup third-round match at The Hawthorns.

The hosts, who are currently fourth in the Championship table, began 2022 with a 1-1 draw against Cardiff City. Brighton has moved into the top half of the Premier League table after winning their last three games without conceding a goal.

West Bromwich has been without Matthew Phillips, who is set to return in time for the FA Cup tie. After receiving red cards in their match against Cardiff City, Alex Mowatt and Sam Johnstone were given three-match suspensions. The rest of West Brom’s absentees are as follows:

Dara O’Shea is out with an ankle injury.

Kean Bryan is out with a knee injury.

Back injury for Robert Snodgrass

Dara O’Shea, Kean Bryan, and Robert Snodgrass have all been injured.

Brighton & Hove Albion

The Seagulls’ injury concerns include Jeremy Sarmiento and Lewis Dunk. For the upcoming AFCON, Yves Bissouma has joined the Mali national squad.

Brighton has been in terrific form recently, scoring seven goals while conceding only four in their last five games. While in the same time frame, West Bromwich has scored four goals and surrendered three.

The game is likely to be a close one, but the visitors should come out on top in this one against West Bromwich.
