The champions league winners Chelsea are gearing up for their one final pre-season encounter against Tottenham Hotspurs at the Stamford Bridge in the Mind series.

The Blues of European Championship final – Jorginho, Emerson, Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell and Reece James have not joined this week’s training. But in the last friendly match, it is expected that all the above players will be available.

The Spanish duo of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcus Alonso are struggling to hit full fitness. So, Thomas Tuchel can opt for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christain Pulisic on the field in place of these two at wider areas. Edouard Mendy started for Chelsea in 2-1 victory over the Gunners at the weekend. But Kepa Arrizabalaga can get a chance to play in the game against the Lilywhites. Also, Malang Sarr joins Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger in the last wall of defence.

Can Chelsea perform well after the return of their star players against Tottenham Hotspurs?

Two changes can took place in the Chelsea team. Ross Barkley and N’Golo Kante can be in the starting eleven as Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Chee. He is been informed by the Blues manager that he is free to decide on his future with the club. He should prepare himself for substitute cameos.

Hakim Ziyech failed to double the lead for his side on Sunday against the Emirates with the goal gaping. But he can get one more chance at the right side to prove himself as he is linked with the Italian club AC Milan.

Tammy Abraham is also linked to going somewhere else. He scored the winner against Arsenal. Everyone will hope for him to perform in the same manner at Stamford Bridge also. Although Michy Batshuayi is another fringe player pushing for action in blue.

According to Football.London, the match will be very much focussing to ease the player back to action and some of them had six weeks of rest before joining their team for practice due to the hectic Euro 2020.
