Wolves player ratings for sensational 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspurs

Wolves beat Tottenham Hotspurs in an important clash for the top four positions in the league in the Gameweek 25 of the Premier League on Sunday.

Wolves began the game on the front foot. The Wanderers took the lead with Raul Jimenez scoring in the 6th minute. Tottenham Hotspurs’ defending was atrocious and the visiting side doubled their lead in the 12th minute.

Leander Dendoncker scored with a good finish past Hugo Lloris to double Wolves’ advantage. Wolves defended their lead quite well and went into halftime with good value for their lead.

Harry Winks did hit the post in the second half. But Spurs could not break the deadlock and Wolves picked up a 2-0 win. With the win Wolves move ahead of Tottenham in the league table. While Antonio Conte‘s side have suffered five defeats in nine games since the turn of the year.

Jose Sa 8/10

The goalkeeper made a couple of important saves and an impressive clean sheet away from home.

Nelson Semedo 7/10

Semedo made plenty of runs in the Tottenham half and defended plenty well.

Max Kilman 7/10

Just like most of the members of the backline, Kilman defended plenty well and sniffed out danger very well.

Conor Coady 7/10

Coady lead the defensive line and won plenty of aerial battles against the Spurs attack.

Romain Saiss 7/10

He made two very important interceptions in his defensive third and won a few aerial duels. Distributed possession very well too.

Rayan Ait-Nouri 7/10

The left wing-back created one key goal-scoring opportunity in the final third and defended quite well.

Ruben Neves 8/10

It was the midfielder’s shot that eventually lead to the first goal. A very solid performance.

Luke Cundle 6/10

Won a few battles in the middle of the park and distributed possession very well.

Leander Dendoncker 8/10

Dendoncker was in the perfect place to tap in the Wolves second goal in the game. He was very solid in the middle of the park.

Daniel Podence 7/10

Podence had a few good touches of the ball. Had plenty of shots but was not clinical enough on the night.

Raul Jimenez 9/10

Scored with an excellent finish to hand his side the lead. The striker lead the line pretty well and always looked like a goal threat.
