Granit Xhaka disagrees with Arteta’s message to his teammates. After their draw vs West Ham Mikel Arteta had a go at his teammates. Arteta was ruthless in his press conference. Xhaka on the other hand was calm. He claimed that it’s still in Arsenal’s hands to win the title.

Xhaka disagrees with Arteta with a positive attitude

Granit Xhaka and his Arsenal team-mates are well and truly confident. Arsenal believe that they are still masters of their own title destiny. Granit Xhaka isn’t lying here either. Victory in their remaining matches, starting with Southampton on and then Manchester City next week – will see Arsenal win a first title in more than a decade.

Xhaka says :-

“We took this challenge until now and nobody was thinking about it before the season started’.Liverpool away and West Ham were always going to be two very difficult games. We knew that. So let’s refresh everything now. Let’s analyse the game and I am sure that you will see a reaction on Friday.

“We have to watch the game again to analyse why this happened twice in a row. But I am not worried too much.

“I am not angry. I am disappointed of course, because you had a chance against West Ham after 2-0 to take the three points.

But this is football, you can’t win the games if you don’t perform over 90 minutes. We didn’t do it. But we still have everything in our hands. If you win the games we have left, you know what happens.”

He responded to Arteta’s message by further saying:-

If something is not going well, it is easy to show the finger to someone else. Now, it is time to be together because there are seven games to go.”

This wasn’t shots being fired at Arteta. They both are on the same page and wants the best for Arsenal. Both of them hate to lose and believe they need to stick together inorder to get Arsenal over the line. Arteta wanted his team to be ruthless and to kill of the game. They hope to do so in the games coming ahead.
