Yves Bissouma could be the perfect replacement for Jorginho

Yves Bissouma

Chelsea could sign Yves Bissouma as an ideal replacement for Jorginho. Chelsea’s experience midfield duo N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are out of contract by this season. Therefore this leaves the Chelsea higher-ups looking for potential players to replace them. They will need to delve deep in the transfer market to look for talents who might come close to this duo. Kante could extend his contract with the Blues but Jorginho’s departure looks to be set in stone. Hence Chelsea are looking to find a perfect replacement for the midfielder. Tottenham Hotspur‘s Yves Bissouma is the latest name that has emerged from the rumor mill. Reports claim that Chelsea’s new technical director had inquired about Yves Bissouma. Though that inquiry was swiftly squashed by the Spurs as they are unwilling to booster their rival team.

Yves Bissouma have reportedly gained interest from Chelsea

The North London club have also shown interest in Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech. Although they have shown resistance to Chelsea’s inquiry about Yves Bissouma. The former Brighton player have made 22 appearances this season so far for Spurs. However, he have only made 8 Premier League starts and is seemingly not settling well with Spurs since joining them last summer. Despite this, he could bring some particular skill set to the Blues’ team. Yves Bissouma could flourish well under Graham Potter as he have already had an experience with Potter back in Brighton. Todd Boehly could end up signing the player given his incessant approach in the transfer window. All this could pay off and Bissouma could end up at Stamford Bridge.

The relationship between Spurs and the Blues is fragile, to put it mildly. The two clubs have rarely competed directly for a transfer business. With Bissouma, who was evidently a beloved figure of Graham Potter joining Spur’s rivals things might not go through smoothly. Chelsea have been homing down their targets this transfer window. And therefore are expected to do the same for Yves Bissouma as well.
