AC Milan may delay their pursuit of Evan N’Dicka

AC Milan are one of the clubs that are interested in Evan N’Dicka. The left-footed centre-back has been the interest of a number of clubs this window.

According to one journalist, AC Milan will seek a deal for the Eintracht Frankfurt defender. However, they are willing to wait out for at least a year to secure him on a free transfer.

Given that N’Dicka’s contract expires in June 2023, Bild claimed last week that Paolo Maldini and N’Dicka spoke via video call. They talked about the possibility of the Frenchman moving to Italy. But N’Dicka has decided to stay at Frankfurt for the time being and move next season.

Frankfurt have already lost one of the best players in Filip Kostic this season to Juventus. They are not willing to lose yet another one of their prized assets this season.

Hence, for the time being, Milan have shifted their attention to sign another defender on loan. PSG’s Abdou Diallo is on the radar of the Italian giants.

Abdou Diallo has already given AC Milan his nod for the loan move. But according to a report, the Rossoneri must first reach an agreement on the specifics and a loan formula with Paris Saint-Germain to proceed.

Diallo as the stopgap for N’Dicka?

The Rossoneri are eager to add the Senegalese defender to their team since they lack depth in that position, especially after they decided to delay the pursuit of Evan N’Dicka. Another option on their list is Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga.

Although Milan has suggested a loan deal with an obligation to buy, the French team may want to sell him permanently.

They will have to agree on the fee if they choose to accept the loan formula. Milan will look to secure a good deal as the pursuit of Charles De Ketelaere has left them a little short on cash.
