Andreas Pereira Looks To Finally Exit Man United

After a long time with no game time at Old Trafford, Andreas Pereira finally looks to be moving on. The Brazilian is of interest to Fulham FC, and the cottagers would like to sign him. According to UOL Esporte, Manchester United have accepted their offer.

Andreas Pereira was a hot prospect once upon a time at PSV Eindhoven. Many clubs vied for his signature. However, a visit from legendary boss Alex Ferguson convinced him to go to Manchester.

Since then, he has been on loan to a number of teams. He has had loan spells to Granada, Lazio and Flamengo. Now it looks like he has found a new permanent home.

The Situation of Pereira

United deemed Pereira as surplus to requirements last summer. The arrival of Bruno Fernandes in 2020 severely limited his playing time. As a result, Periera was loaned to Brazilian club Flamengo last season with a £17 million buy option. During a new round of discussions this year, Flamengo was able to reduce the price to €10 million (£8.5 million), but has since withdrawn.

Due to their precarious financial state, they are currently prepared to pay (£4.3 million at most for 50% of Pereira’s rights. Manchester United are not in favour of this.

In the middle of this, Fulham offered to sign the 26-year-old. They will pay €10 million (£8.6 million) plus €3 million (£2.6 million) in bonuses. The West London outfit are looking to replace Fabio Carvahlo. The young midfielder joined United’s arch-rivals Liverpool in a deal worth £5 million.

Pereira is also the subject of interest from Lyon. It is reported that he may choose them over Fulham, should an offer come.
