Antonio Silva have gained interest from Liverpool for a summer transfer

Liverpool have shown interest in the young Benfica player Antonio Silva. Liverpool are keen on signing Antonio Silva but might face stiff competition. The young player have emerged as a stand-out player in Portugal. He has already become an important player for the Benfica team at this age. He have already started in 17 Primeira Liga matches this season so far. Furthermore, he had also started in all six of their Champions League matches. Antonio Silva have been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent days. The Reds’ manager is looking to boost his team further in the next summer window. Goncalo Inacio, Josko Gvardiol, and Jarrad Branthwaite are all their potential targets. However, the teenager’s current deal with Benfica doesn’t expire till 2027. Therefore the Reds have to pay a sizeable fee to sign him. Chelsea and Manchester United are also reported to be interested in the player.

Liverpool to try and sign young centre-back Antonio Silva

The Reds are in a dire need of a centre-back in the summer. Gomez and Matip could potentially move on from the club in the summer. Therefore with them gone, Liverpool will have to look to sign someone new. With Antonio Silva, the Reds could have a perfect option to bring in. The young player is already a key player in the Benfica team. Former Liverpool player Carragher believes that Antonio Silva could be a superstar at Liverpool. He could be Ibrahima Konate’s defensive partner when Van Dijk eventually moves on. The youngster have already played in the World Cup. He had appeared once in the 2022 World Cup. The player is still very young and have a lot to learn. Therefore rubbing shoulders with the experienced Liverpool players would benefit him.

Liverpool fans are excited to see the interest in Antonio Silva. However, the Reds are expected to face competition in signing the player. Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring the player. It will be interesting to see how things turn out in the summer window.
