Arne Slot to Liverpool is a done deal according to Fabrizio Romano

Jurgen Klopp

After Jurgen Klopp’s departure announcement, there were several talks about who could be the next Liverpool manager. According to sources, Feyenoord’s manager, Arne Slot will be Klopp’s successor. Although no official statement is made yet, football journalist, Fabrizio Romano said that Arne Slot to Liverpool is a done deal.

While speaking about Liverpool’s new manager, Romano said,

“Some Liverpool fans have been eager to know when we’ll get an official announcement on Arne Slot becoming the new manager, but I have no information on this at the moment – it’s up to the clubs to decide the timing of announcements like this.”

The Italian journalist further added,

“Still, rest assured that there’s no news on this – it’s a done deal. It’s all set, as previously reported, with the clubs agreeing on compensation, while the Dutch manager has also agreed his contract with Liverpool.”

Liverpool will undergo several changes due to Klopp’s exit, however, it will also open a window of opportunities for some players. Moreover, Slot has done well at Feyenoord and it will be interesting to see what he can bring to the Premier League. It is only a matter of time now before the club makes an official announcement about the new manager.

Liverpool are going to have a busy transfer window

Along with Klopp’s departure, sources have stated that even some players will be following him out. Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah were linked with a move away from Anfield. Salah received a lot of attention from Saudi clubs during the last window, however, he continued his stay at Anfield. The Saudi clubs will surely return to gain the Egyptian if he decides he wants to leave Liverpool. Moreover, Trent Alexander-Arnold could also exit. Real Madrid have shown interest in the Liverpool defender and could send a bid for him this summer. If the situations work out, Liverpool could lose three of their key-players this summer. However, they are also working on adding players to better their squad.
