According to reports, Arsenal will reportedly look to make improve the squad in the January transfer window. The report also confirms that they will try to work out a deal to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk. However, currently, the winger is out of their transfer budget. A number of reports also confirm that Mudryk will now cost more than 65 million. Hence, they must make a move fast to avoid more rise in his transfer fee.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also added that the club will look to improve the squad in January. However, he says they will only make deals within their budget. The report also claims that Arsenal is looking to sign a right-winger and midfielder in January. However, at the moment, a right-winger signing is needed first to provide cover for star winger Bukayo Saka.

THE GUNNERS WILL ALSO FOCUS ON CONTRACT EXTENSIONS FOR THEIR YOUNG STARS

Fabrizio Romano has also said that Arsenal will focus on contract extensions of their young star players. He further said,

“The priority now is to go strong on new contract talks for William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. They are optimistic, they feel these players want to stay.”

Hence, the Gunners are keen to avoid the interest of big European clubs for these players.

All three young players will have a big pay rise on their new contracts. They will all likely go to the World Cup in Qatar. Hence, the priority of Arsenal will be to tie down to new contracts. Saliba, Saka, and Martinelli have the potential to be future captains of the club. Hence, Mikel Arteta will hope to keep the core of the club as long as possible.

Arsenal will also hope that they can maintain their top position in the Premier League till the break for the World Cup. However, all the focus after the World Cup will be on incomings and outgoings in the January transfer window.
