Arsenal are reportedly hoping to sell winger Nicolas Pepe in the next summer transfer window. The winger is in great form on loan at Nice.

However, the winger does not have a future with the Gunners. Hence, both parties are hoping that they can secure a permanent exit solution for the winger.

THE FUTURE OF NICOLAS PEPE AT ARSENAL

According to reports, Arsenal are open to selling Nicolas Pepe permanently in the next summer transfer window. The winger is currently on loan at OGC Nice in Ligue 1. He has impressed with his brilliant performances. Hence, many thought that he would have a future with the Gunners. However, transfer expert Charles Watts has claimed that the Ivorian winger has no future with the Premier League giants.

He further said,

“Arsenal just need to find a way of selling him at the end this season, need to cut the losses. Look, they’re not going to get much money for Pepe, it’s clear. “At the end of this year, he’s only going to have a year left on his deal. They’ve got the wages that they need to try and sort out, so any club who are going to be coming in for him are going to have the issue of trying to take on the wages that he wants. There is no future for Nicolas Pepe at Arsenal”.

OGC NICE MUST TRY TO SIGN HIM PERMANENTLY AT THE END OF THE SEASON

A number of reports also claim that OGC Nice will try to sign him permanently at the end of the season. Arsenal are also open to selling for a cheaper fee. However, Nicolas Pepe will have to take a wage cut to join a new club. This is because he is one of the highest-paid players for the Gunners. Hence, he will have to take a wage cut to facilitate his exit.

Hence, Arsenal are also hoping that he can move on in the next summer transfer window. They will save a lot of wages if the winger moves on. However, the winger will have to be convinced to join a club without European football next season. Therefore, it surely means that Arsenal will not recover the 72 million spent on him in the 2019 summer transfer window.

However, Arsenal will hope that the sale of Nicolas Pepe helps them have extra funds in the next summer transfer window. Although, the current focus for Nicolas Pepe will be to continue his brilliant performances for OGC Nice. This will create a market for him in the summer.
