Arsenal are reportedly showing interest in signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane. The player is also open to a potential exit from the German giants.

This is because of his lack of game time for the Bundesliga champions. However, Bayern Munich have no intention of selling the German winger.

According to reports, Arsenal are showing interest in signing Leroy Sane. Bayern Munich signed him for 60 million in the 2020 transfer window. They hoped that he would be as successful as Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben. However, two years down the lane, the winger has failed to make a major impact for the German giants.

He is also struggling for game time. This is because Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry are preferred on the wings. The position behind the striker is occupied by Thomas Muller. Hence, the German winger has to fight for his place in every match. Therefore, returning to Arsenal in the Premier League can be the best option to progress his career and ambition.

A number of reports also claim that a number of other European clubs are also monitoring the situation. However, Arsenal leads the race for his signature. Hence, Leroy Sane will make a decision on his future during the January transfer window. Therefore, the Gunners rumor is going to heat up more in the coming month. Although, the potential signing of Sane will be perfect.

This is because Leroy Sane has trained under the management of Mikel Arteta. Mikel Arteta was the assistant coach during Leroy Sane’s time at Manchester City. Leroy Sane has also praised the coaching of Arteta. He further said,

I can just say positive things about Mikel Arteta. Since we started working together, he helped me a lot on the pitch. He tried to improve my football, he told me what I did good and what I did wrong, and he tried to work on it.

Hence, it will not be a major surprise if Arsenal are serious about signing Leroy Sane in January. Leroy Sane can also help lessen the burden of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. However, they will have to make a mega bid to convince Bayern Munich to sell the German winger.
