Arsenal have reportedly made more contacts with the agents of the Frankfurt midfielder. The midfielder is Jesper Lindstrom.

Many experts see the midfielder as one for the future. However, the deal will be tough to do in the January transfer window.

According to Bild, Arsenal have made further contacts to sign the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Jesper Lindstrom. Yesterday, it was reported that the Gunners had made initial contacts with his agents. However, further reports today confirm that more contacts have been established to see whether a deal can be done in the January transfer window.

The midfielder has a transfer market value of €17m. However, it is certain that Frankfurt will ask more for the midfielder. The midfielder has a contract until 2026 with the Bundesliga side. Hence, Frankfurt certainly have the right to ask for a big fee for a potential star. There are also reports mentioning that Frankfurt will ask Arsenal a fee of €20m-25m for the midfielder.

Many football websites mention that Jesper Lindstrom is an attacking midfielder by trait. However, the Premier League side already have Martin Odegaard, Fabio Viera, and Emile Smith Rowe playing in the position. Hence, signing the midfielder makes very little sense. However, there is a twist to the tale in the transfer. The midfielder can also play as a winger.

Arsenal have already loaned out Nicolas Pepe to Nice for the season. However, the reports also add that Pepe will be immediately sold next season. Hence, the club will need a new winger. There are also suggestions that Mikel Arteta will be looking to loan out Marquinhos in the January transfer window. Hence, it looks like Mikel Arteta will be looking to use Lindstrom as a utility player that can play in multiple positions whenever required.

Jesper Linstrom has not got assists this season. However, the attacking midfielder has scored important goals in the Champions League and Bundesliga. Hence, it looks like Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have been impressed by his goals and his overall play.
