Arsenal have suffered another injury blow this season. The player this time is the centre-back, Gabriel Magalhaes.

He limped off early in 2-0 defeat in the Europa League against PSV Eindhoven. Hence, Mikel Arteta’s managerial skills will be tested in the coming weeks.

Arsenal were defeated 2-0 by PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League. This also means that the Gunners are not safe at the top of their group. Hence, they will have to win their final group match against FC Zurich to finish on top of the table in their group. The first goal of the match was scored by Joey Veerman. However, the substitute Luuk de Jong scored their second goal to put the match beyond any doubt. De Jong scored after Aaron Ramsdale failed to punch the ball.

Hence, Arsenal failed to win after their 1-1 draw against Southampton in the Premier League. Many expected them to win against the Dutch giants. Although, it looks like the Gunners have dropped their levels this week. Hence, Mikel Arteta will have to energize his team to win the match. However, there is a chance, he will not have the services of the star centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.

According to reports, Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes was in pain after coming off against PSV Eindhoven. The report also claims that there is a chance that the injury is a major injury. This also means he is surely not going to be available against Nottingham Forest on Sunday. The Brazilian is set to have scans on his foot to determine the seriousness of the injury.

It will also be a major blow to the plans of Mikel Arteta. Gabriel has formed a brilliant center-back pairing with William Saliba. Hence, Arteta will have to change his plans. This also means that Ben White will partner with Saliba potentially for a number of weeks. Hence, this also means that Takheiro Tomiyasu or Cedric Soares will get the chance at right-back.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be certainly not happy with the injury of Gabriel Magalhaes. However, this means that he will get to test his squad depth this season. It also means that Ben White will finally get to play in his favourite position.
