Manchester United legend and football Pundit Roy Keane has said that Arsenal have select their smartly in the upcoming games for the rest of the season. This is also after their FA Cup loss against Manchester City.
Roy Keane has also said that all the focus of the Gunners is on winning the league. However, the Premier League giants also need to be aware that they are in the Europa League also.
ROY KEANE IS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE TEAM SELECTION BY MIKEL ARTETA FOR THE FA CUP
Arsenal lost only their third game this season. Manchester City beat them in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the Etihad stadium. Many football experts also said that the Gunners deserved a draw out of the game. Whereas, many Gunners fans said that the loss is ok as their current priority is to win the Premier League this season. However, Manchester United Roy legend Roy Keane predicted the loss before the game even started.
He has also said that the Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should have played his top team against strong Manchester City side. Pep Guardiola started players like Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and star striker Erling Haaland. Roy Keane also said, “The priority for Arsenal – because they’ve had such a great start – is of course the league. But I just think to make so many changes defensively, people talking about the priorities, but it’s still January. They’ve got no midweek game coming up. Huge risk and I’m pretty sure it will backfire on him.”
ARSENAL HAVE TO FOCUS BOTH ON THE PREMIER LEAGUE AND EUROPA LEAGUE EQUALLY
After the elimination in the FA Cup, Arsenal are still in 2 competitions. It is obviously the Premier League and the Europa League knockout rounds. However, Mikel Arteta needs to prioritise winning both of the trophies this season. This is because they have the players, the form and the determination to win both of them. Arsenal have also provided Mikel Arteta with almost perfect January transfer window. There is a chance that it will become perfect with the Moises Caicedo signing.
Arsenal made a 60 million bid for the Brighton midfielder. However, Brighton have made it clear that Caicedo is not for sale in the January transfer window. However, Moises Caicedo has said on social media channels that he would like to make the move. He has also said that Brighton are getting a record fee. Whereas, he will also get life changing salary with the Gunners move. However, Brighton still rejected the bid. Although, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said that Arsenal are now planning a 70 million bid for him.
Although, even if Arsenal do not sign Moises Caicedo, they still have a brilliant team for the second half of the season. Mikel Arteta has managed to bring Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard in the January transfer window. Hence, it clearly looks like the Gunners have got enough squad depth for the rest of the season.
