Arsenal Plan Alternatives To Gabriel Jesus

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey has claimed that Richarlison can be a possible alternative for Arsenal, should the Gunners fail to sign Gabriel Jesus. Jesus has been strongly linked to a move to North London. He has often found himself on the periphery of Pep Guardiola’s team in recent years. With the arrivals of Erling Halland and Julian Alvarez, game time may be even harder to come by.

However, Jesus has time and against proven his reliability. This season, he often operated on the right-wing. With Raheem Sterling’s exit possible, Jesus may stay at the Etihad and fight for a spot on the wing.

This would be a big blow for Arsenal, as they made him their priority signing. They desperately need a striker. Alexander Lacazette has joined Lyon, while Edward Nketiah too seems on his way out. Jesus was a perfect choice as he would be the profile that Arteta needs. He has spent time with him during his tenure at City, and Jesus will surely have an idea of what Arteta wants from his number 9.

Alternatives to Jesus

Despite a chance for Jesus turning down Arsenal, they will have alternatives.

I think there are some legs in this one yet. Arsenal are trying, there’s a chance, but I’d keep an eye on other players such as Richarlison, a player we know Arsenal like and have liked for a long time, his people are close to Edu, so I think he’s a player whose name will come up again and he may end up being more likely than Jesus

Richarlison is also contemplating his future at Everton. The Brazilian is reportedly looking for a step up from Merseyside after their relegation battle the previous season. Real Madrid are supposedly interested.
