AS Roma are reportedly interested in signing Olympiacos midfielder Mady Camara. They want to complete the signing before the transfer window ends.
The discussions with Olympiacos are already at an advanced stage. However, both the clubs have not still come to a full agreement on the transfer.
AS ROMA AND MADY CAMARA TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY
According to reports, AS Roma are reportedly interested in signing Olympiacos midfielder Mady Camara. They had signed Georgino Wijnaldum on loan from PSG. However, the Dutch midfielder suffered a massive injury. The injury is going to keep him out for a long period of time. Hence, the Italian giants are again short of options in the midfield.
Therefore, AS Roma explored a number of options. It looks like Jose Mourinho has chosen Mady Camara as the best option available. Roma reportedly prefers a loan deal with a buy option for the midfielder. The report also states that Olympiacos are also open to a loan deal. They are open to a loan deal because the club could not qualify for the main round of the Champions League.
THE DEAL IS MOVING RAPIDLY TOWARDS ITS CONCLUSION
Many reports believe that the deal is drawing towards its conclusion. AS Roma have are ready to pay €1.5M right away and eventually €7/8M in 2023. However, the Greek club are demanding 15 million for the midfielder. But since they have not qualified for Champions League, they will have to settle for less. Another problem is the contract of Mady Camara’s contract ends in 2024.
The midfielder has refused to sign a new contract with the Greek giants. Hence, there are chances that they will not have the advantage of the asking price. Monza and Lille were also linked with Guinea midfielder. However, Mady Camara prefers a move to AS Roma. Mady Camara is not the most prolific name available on the market. However, he is the perfect player to play under the guidance of Mourinho.
Mady Camara has also agreed on personal terms with AS Roma. The midfielder has made 181 appearances over the course of his career. He has scored 19 times and provided 13 assists. Camara has also made 21 appearances for the national team.
