Bayern Munich have reportedly made an astonishing amount of money by selling fringe players. The Bundesliga club have reportedly made over €100m in sales in the transfer window.
The sales have helped the club become stable for a number of years. This has also helped them increase their transfer budget this summer.

According to reports, Bayern Munich have made over €100m from player sales in the transfer window. The sales did not weaken the first team as most of them were going to leave or many of them were on the fringes. The club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn have been credited by the fans for making the club stable through sales.
Bayern Munich are described by many as a club that spends lavishly. However, they are spending the transfer budget very smartly. This is due to the impact of COVID-19. It was hit hard due to the pandemic for several seasons. However, after getting dumped by Villareal in the Champions League, the club is now under pressure to deliver on and off the pitch.

The club also decided to sell their star striker Robert Lewandoski. Lewandoski wanted to leave Bayern Munich in this transfer window. However, the Bundesliga club was initially reluctant to let him leave. Although, the Lewandoski controversy made too much noise. Hence, the player was finally sold to Barcelona. The fans also were happy as the owners stood true to their words that the team is bigger than any player.
Other than the Lewandoski sale, all other sales were going to go through as the players were on the fringes last season. However, the thing that surprised all is that the club manage to get a good amount of money for the players. The big sales include the sales of Tanguay Nianzou, Lewandoski, Omar Richards, Marc Roca, and other fringe players. However, the club have also managed to make marquee signings.
Bayern Munich have confirmed the signings of Sadio Mane and Matthis De Ligt. The new signings are going to be the core of the team for the next few years. Hence, the club are now going to be the top contender in the Champions League.
