BBC pundit Garth Crooks has praised Firmino and claimed he’s worth more than Thiago to Liverpool.

Roberto Firmino keeps impressing everyone with his redemption at Anfield. He scored twice against Brighton and made sure that Liverpool stays in the game. The Brazilian forward has 5 goals for Liverpool this season and turning himself into an undisputed starter.

Meanwhile, Thiago is still recovering from a hamstring injury picked up in Merseyside Derby. Liverpool fans praise this Spanish magician. He has been so good for Liverpool until his injury.

Garth Crooks has a different opinion

In his weekly column on BBC, Crooks explains why Firmino is the main man for Liverpool and not Thiago.

He wrote for his BBC team of the week column,

“These were two finishes of the highest quality by Bobby Firmino. The Brazilian may not have the legs anymore to command a regular place in Jurgen Klopp’s team. However, if you require a cool head in front of goal, especially when the chips are down, you need look no further than Firmino to get your team back on track,”

He added,

“Liverpool fans keep telling me that Thiago Alcantara (when he’s fit) is their main man. He might be if he could run. The Spaniard has turned jogging into an art form. He can’t get up the park and doesn’t have the finishing instincts of Firmino. Thiago certainly has his moments but if we are going to compare their contributions and the importance each player provides the team, then Firmino is in a different class.”

Firmino and Thiago, both are important for this struggling Liverpool team.

Firmino and Thiago are completely different players. Both have the potential to change the game after coming off the bench. Thiago is more of an engine in midfield making extraordinary passes, dribbling are his kind of thing to do. Meanwhile, Firmino is someone who can move well in the opposition box and snatch many goals.

Liverpool are currently struggling in the league and they need both of them to get back on track.
