The Catalan manager of Manchester City has provided some insight into whether or not kevin might play against Sheffield United on Saturday. Which is the team’s last game of the historic 2023 calendar year.

Speaking to the media following Wednesday night’s 1-3 victory over Everton, Pep Guardiola disclose how close Kevin De Bruyne is to playing again for the Champions. While also expressing how much he would “love” for his playmaker to return this weekend.

Kevin (De Bruyne) is close but he had fatigue yesterday and we have to be careful,” Pep Guardiola explained. “When he is injure for three months, if you don’t handle the timings good you can get injured again.

The injury was serious, so we need to move step by step. But Kevin is training with us, and he is so positive so soon he will be back. I’d love for him to play the next game or Huddersfield. But what is important is to keep Kevin fit for a long time, not for one game or another.”

Prior to the weekend, Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku are still questionable about their fitness, but Pep Guardiola may provide an update on both forwards in the coming days while doing various media appearances.
