Mikel Arteta was left furious with Benjamin White after Arsenal’s dramatic draw with Liverpool on Sunday. This will potentially put a dent in the Arsenal’s title hopes.
According to a report from Football London, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was getting increasingly irritated with his side’s inability to keep possession during the first-half at Anfield.
Arsenal couldn’t hold on to their 2-0 lead and eventually held Liverpool to a draw. This was only due to the brilliance of Aaron Ramsdale. Ben White left Arteta very angry when he gave the ball away. That error gave Andy Robertson to have an attempt on goal.
Too many Arsenal players were off their normal game in the second-half. And Benjamin White was certainly one of those who was nowhere close his best in the game.
What it does to the title race
Arsenal need to keep up the momentum and try and win every game possible. They need to take each game one at a time. The match vs Manchester City will prove to vital. If Arsenal could go and win at the Etihad the title could be returning to North London.
Arsenal have stepped up every time when they have been doubted this season. So it would not be a surprise if they bounce back at the next opportunity in the Premier League.
