Bernardo Silva approached by PSG

PSG have reportedly joined the race to sign Manchester City star Bernardo Silva. They want to sign the Portuguese ahead of FC Barcelona.

Bernardo Silva has been the centre of a long saga this summer. It was reported that he wants to leave the defending English champions for a new challenge. His preferred destination was said to be Barcelona.

However, the Catalans’ financial situation meant they had to spend their money judiciously. Although they signed a number of elite players, Silva was not one of them. Manager Xavi wanted to fill the more pressing needs of the squad, that is two new attackers and a right-back to be addressed first. As a result, the former Monaco man had to stay put. As a result, PSG have taken a chance to see if they can get him.

Pep Guardiola has repeatedly expressed his love for the winger. Indeed, Silva has been one of the best players in one of the finest teams in the last few years. He oozes class with the ball at his feet and can make chances out of nothing. It is no surprise that a number of elite clubs are his fans.

We want Bernardo Silva with us but I don’t want anyone to be unhappy here. The first thing would be for the two clubs to come to an agreement – then of course, I want him in my team. It is true that Bernardo Silva really likes FC Barcelona.

Is There Any Chance For Silva to Leave?

However, Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano has clarified that they are not allowing Silva to leave this late into the window. His statements were echoed by Pep Guardiola ahead of the Crystal Palace game.

Silva went on to start and score the first goal for the Cityzens yesterday. His goal was the first out of four after Manchester City saw themselves two behind Crystal Palace. Erling Halland scored a superb hat trick in 19 minutes.
