Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is close to signing a new five-year contract with the club. Bruno Fernandes reportedly is about to sign a £250,000-per-week new deal with The Red Devils.

Since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United’s Magnifico was linked with a move to Barcelona and Real Madrid. Bruno Fernandes had a very quiet Euro. This made fans and pundits raise questions about the duo playing together. Meanwhile, the duo featured together for the first time in a Manchester United jersey against Newcastle. Both of them were on the scoresheet.

Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United in 2020. Since then he has been their best player. He has contributed with 44 goals and providing 26 assists in 85 appearances. Bruno has been the player that United were missing. He is part of almost every goal that Manchester United score.

According to Spotrac, Bruno Fernandes currently earns £180,000 per week. As he signs the new contract Bruno Fernandes will become United’s fifth-highest earner along with Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani.

How has Bruno Fernandes transformed Manchester United?

Before the arrival of Bruno Manchester United had several problems. They were playing without a proper striker. Anthony Martial played in that position for the Red Devils but wasn’t able to deliver what a striker like Cavani would.

Moreover, the Red Devils lacked a competent midfield. The team was over-reliant on Paul Pogba to bring the creativity. Since Pogba played as CM and not as CAM this couldn’t allow him to express his creativity as he had work to do defensively. The Portuguese playmaker turned up at Old Trafford. Unlike any other attacking midfielder, Bruno played a second striker role. This allowed him to get in the box and score goals.

Bruno Fernades is already an icon at Manchester United. Moreover, Bruno signing a new contract at Old Trafford would mean the world for Manchester United fans.
