Football Insider has come up with a revealing report that Championship club Queens Park Rangers are studying the options to sign multiple Tottenham Hotspur players in the summer. According to the report, the deals would include permanent as well as loan moves. Moreover, QPR are believed to have good relations with the North Londoners which could support the cause here. Furthermore, Tottenham are looking to offload many of their players as well, with QPR calling at the right time.
Over the last few seasons, many of the Tottenham players have joined QPR. As a result, it serves as the obvious reason of Tottenham and QPR sharing decent ties. Luke Amos, Aramide Oteh, Rafferty Pedder and Charlie Owens joined QPR after early years with Spurs. Jonathan Dinzeyi was the latest to make the switch last season after trials with QPR. However, according to Football Insider’s report, QPR’s Under-23s coach Paul Hall is overseeing the potential transfers.
Hall is targeting players who are on the rise, rather than the ones in their prime. The manager aims at reinforcing QPR with the hopes of earning a promotion back to the Premier League. The Championship is no easy game and Hall wants the players who have the potential to thrive.
QPR hope to land at least 3 players from Tottenham
Among the Tottenham starlets, QPR are reportedly interested in three. Strikers Troy Parrott and Kion Etete, and midfielder Harvey White have attracted the West Londoners’ attention. The under 21 trio is currently out on loan. Parrott and White have debuted for Tottenham while Etete is yet to get his chance.
Parrott is currently out on loan at MK Dons. The striker has impressed with the League One side, scoring 8 goals and assisting 7 in 40 league games. Moreover, Parrott has plied his trade in the Championship as well with Millwall FC before joining League One side Ipswich Town. The 20-year-old spent made 14 appearances for Millwall and 18 for Ipswich. QPR could benefit from the Tottenham loanee’s experience of playing a massive 76 games with the first-teams of all the clubs he has been on loan at.
Etete joined Cheltenham in January this month, before spending 6 months at Northampton. The striker has played 13 games for Cheltenham in the League One, scoring 3 and assisting as many. He impressed with Northampton as well after netting 6 goals and providing 2 assists in 23 games. Harvey White captains Tottenham’s Under-23s and has played 21 games in all competitions for the youth side. His 7 goals and 7 assists in those games are enough to justify QPR’s interest in him.
However, first-team manage Antonio Conte is heavily impressed with White, even stating that the midfielder is “improving a lot” this season. QPR may find it difficult in taking away the Tottenham U23s captain who is expected to get more minutes with the senior side next season. However, QPR plan on tabling loan offers for all three of them according to Football Insider.
