Chelsea has released Armando Broja this summer but he’s no short of places to go. Broja performed well on loan at Southampton and that has brought attention to him. The 20-year-old scored 9 goals across all formats for the saints. This pre-season will be crucial for him as Thomas Tuchel will take a keen look at him.
Southampton is also keen on keeping him and may require a 25million to pull this deal. Broja has also gained attention from abroad, especially from Seria A. Clubs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Napoli just a few admirers of the game upfront.
Chelsea and it’s unability to rate talents
Chelsea has a packed squad with talents coming in every season. The pensioners need to be careful here as they’ve previously let some serious talent go away. Some of these talents are Mo Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, etc.
It’s not like Chelsea didn’t want them but some players just can’t perform under the stacked system of Stamford bridge. Failing to provide them with an environment led to their transfers and both of them are regarded best in their respective positions.
Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori also fall in this very category. Abraham flourished under Mourinho where he played as natural number 9 and has been crowned Uefa Conference League winners. Abraham also scored goals in the stacked system of Chelsea but reduced game time affected his performance.
Tomori has been something for the Rossonerries who just took their 19th scudetto home. Regular game time, less competition to face, and trust from the coach can evolve any player to being their best.
Which Premier League Side Suits Broja Most?
Newcastle with their strong finances may land Broja but they don’t need him. Although to maintain squad depth it’ll be good for them. Joelinton, Saint-Maximin, Almiron, and Willock are all in great form since Eddie Howe took over. Eddie howe has a huge rebuilding job pending and it’d be interesting to see if they can become a genuine force in the premier league.
West Ham is another option for him and the hammer’s style of play may suit the hammers. West Ham lacks squad depth up front and Broja seems reliant on choice so that they don’t rely on Antonio ever for goals. Extra options in attack can see them score more goals and may earn extra points for them.
Southampton should be the most suitable option for him as he knows the coach and has spent time with the coach. Any other team will need to adjust Broja in their system but the saints already have set up for him.
