Chelsea star warned by Mauricio Pochettino after being found partying while injured

The Chelsea team received a strong warning from Mauricio Pochettino after Noni Madueke was seen having a good time while injured and not eligible for selection.

The PSV Eindhoven player, who joined the team in January, has only played in three games under his new management. Madueke’s lone start for Chelsea came in a Carabao Cup second-round matchup against AFC Wimbledon earlier this month.

Since suffering a hit while representing England Under-21, Madueke has been dealing with a muscular issue. Last week, he made headlines when he was seen on camera having fun at a London nightclub.

Chelsea manager issued warning to his players after Madueke’s incident

Mauricio Pochettino stated that taken alone, the event was unimportant. But he acknowledged that his players should steer clear of particular circumstances. Pochettino stated saying

“In my opinion, he is working hard to try and recover. He came back from the national break 10 days ago. Now he is well. He is trying to be on the same level as the team.”

He continued saying

“This video, we were talking about that, it’s a thing you need to avoid. All of the players need to know that when you are a player of Chelsea, you need to avoid these things. It wasn’t a big issue, but we need to avoid these types of situation. He is recovering from the national team and we will see if he is fit.”

A number of young players in Chelsea, like Madueke, have yet to demonstrate the degree of consistency needed to be successful at the highest level. But Pochettino says he still has trust in the 21-year-old.

Mauricio Pochettino said

“It’s not only Mischa (Mykhailo Mudryk), it’s many players that arrive. The level of these guys, because they are so young, changes.”

Pochettino further added

“Big change from where they come and also it’s not about arriving and performing when you are young, it’s about adapting, helping them to settle. And then the most difficult thing is to understand what they need to settle and to feel comfortable and to express their talent.”
