He also said what he intends to achieve at Stamford Bridge. Potter will replace Thomas Tuchel as the manager on Friday. Tuchel was sacked by the new owners following the defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

Potter’s first test will be against RB Salzburg in the Champions League. It was supposed to be away at Fulham. However, it was postponed due to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Although, it appears the game on Wednesday will go ahead as planned. Chelsea manager Potter said,

You have to understand they are human beings first, and the key thing was to understand them”

N’GOLO KANTE CONTRACT PROBLEMS AND JANUARY TRANSFER RUMORS

According to reports, N’Golo Kante is not close to signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge. The club had submitted a verbal offer recently to the midfielder. The report also claims that the offer was to renew the contract for 2 years. It also included an option of a third. However, Kante wants a longer deal. Kante is in the final year of his contract. The contract is set to expire next summer.

His midfield teammate Jorginho is also in his final year of the contract. There is also another breaking news for the Chelsea fans. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues reportedly lodged a £77m bid for the Josko Gvardiol. However, nothing materialized as it was the deadline day. The defender also then signed a new contract until 2027 with RB Leipzig. However, the market is going to be hot for the defender in January.

Hence, it is going to be a busy few months for the Chelsea manager and owners. However, the top priority for the club will be to get back to winning ways. Graham Potter will also have the chance to revive the careers of a few players including Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech.
