Liverpool loane Leighton Clarkson impressing everyone at Aberdeen at Scottish Premiership this season.
Aberdeen show up a fine performance on Sunday as they beat Rangers 2:0 at Pittodrie. Club’s interim boss Barry Robson bringing the team to winning ways as they win their seventh game in a row. Clarkson assisted the second goal to seal the victory for The Dons.
Clarkson is shining at Aberdeen this season, which is just he needed after a difficult loan spell at Blackburn Rovers last season. The 21-year-old has scored five goals and provided eight assists across all competitions this season.
However, after such prolific performance, Klopp may have to consider adding him to his Liverpool squad next season. Reds will have quite a number of departures in the summer, due to which Clarkson might get his chance at Anfield.
His teammate, Luis Lopes took to Instgram on Monday to send a message as he celebrated victory over Rangers. He begged Clarkson to stop playing so well otherwise Jurgen Klopp will take him back to Anfield. Lopes wrote:-
“You have to stop, otherwise Klopp will take you away from us”.
Liverpool will look to block his move back to Aberdeen in the summer and Clarkson may start in the midfield for Liverpool next season. He should take interest from his academy partner Stefan Bajcetic, who impressed everyone with his performance this term.
And if that doesn’t happen, he should consider leaving Anfield in the summer transfer window.
