Former Tottenham striker Darren bent says that he cannot believe Arsenal are willing to sell there youngster. Bent highlights the rumours of Arsenal man Emile Smith Rowe leaving. The ex-striker does not seem happy with the decision of midfielder leaving in January. However, if Gunners are to make a big signing they must of load some players from their current squad. Furthermore, Smith Rowe is also not getting proper game time which is required for him at this stage of career.

Journalist Dean Jones also said that Arsenal can be tempted to sell the attacking midfielder if a suitable offer comes. Meanwhile, notable interest is coming from Aston Villa in recent days. Owing to these, the TalkSPORT pundit says,

The one that’s worried me is Smith Rowe, couple of years back, him and Saka pretty much saved Arteta’s job. When Arteta was struggling, them two were the two that stepped up. For whatever reason, I think Smith Rowe has had his injuries, but they are talking about using him in deals to bring in other players. I don’t understand that.”

If the midfielder is not a choice for the manager then there is no point in staying at the club. He is young and can easily play for any top English club. Moreover at this age, it is necessary for him to play as much games as possible for development. The England international has made 73 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Smith Rowe has scored 12 goals and given nine assists in those games. If he is deprived of minutes then he ultimately has to leave the club in summer of 2024.
