David Silva called Erling Haalanda beast” and stated that he would have loved to have played with him at Manchester City.

Last season, Haaland led City to a triple crown of the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League. Haaland scored an emphatic 52 goals from 53 games across all competitions.

With six goals in as many games, Norway’s standout Haaland, who was recently named PFA and UEFA Player of the Year, is on pace to match his goal-scoring feats from the previous season.

David Silva played 436 games for City and scored 77 goals in that time, but he is best remembered for his 140 assists during the course of his illustrious 10-year tenure with the Sky Blues.

David Silva expressed his desire to have played with Erling Haaland

The former City great claimed that, knowing that the lethal 23-year-old goal machine would score almost always, he would have been delighted in creating opportunities for Haaland.

David Silva said

“Haaland is a beast and I like the way he moves on the field. I would have loved to have played with him, to help him score even more goals!”

Following their historic Treble victory and undefeated start to the new season, Silva believes his former club is “unstoppable” and looks unbeatable.

David Silva, who played for City for ten years before departing in 2020, believes Pep Guardiola’s team is on their own after winning the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup last year.

The 37-year-old former playmaker, David Silva, was forced to retire this summer due to a knee injury. He believes City, who have won five of the previous six league titles, can continue to rule for some time.

Four straight victories have helped City start their latest championship defence in first place in the Premier League. Last month they have already added the UEFA Super Cup to their impressive collection of trophies won under Guardiola.

David Silva also said

“They have an amazing team with some amazing players. This is Pep’s eighth season at City. The first year he was getting used to the Premier League, but now they are almost unstoppable. Arsenal are the only team I can see who maybe have a chance of challenging City. The rest? I don’t think they can.”

During his time at City, David Silva won four Premier League championships, two FA Cups, and five League Cups. He was also thrilled to see City win the Champions League to clinch the Treble last season.
