England calls cricket analyst Olly for Job

An analyst from Suffolk offered a job with the English team for the upcoming three-match with the Indian team. Williams a 26-year-old from Ipswich will offer his services for T20 games against India. Following this, he’ll be going on a South African tour.

26-year-old William, currently Suffolk Cricket’s analyst has served for the past three seasons. He has additionally now been asked to code the matches for this series. Further, he is working as a sub-contractor for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Williams would also work on graphics that focus on the line and length and wagon wheels.

Olly is working for Essex County Cricket Club for the past 3 months as a performance analyst. Furthermore and coding for their second XI and academy as well as the occasional first-team match. Upon being asked about this job call later replied

“I am looking forward to it as it is where I aspire to get to permanently, so this is a nice stepping stone. I think I have learnt so much about the professional game of cricket by being around it, so this can only benefit me in the future.”

Olly’s earlier life

Olly has been playing since he was 12. The analyst has played for Copdock and Old Ipswichian Cricket Club. Williams suggested having a new kit to do scoring and analysis when the club was looking for a new scorer. On his suggestion, the club bought kits from ECB which made him do analysis and home streaming of home games.

Olly is a graduate of sports science from the University of Suffolk. Latter then did his master’s from Middlesex University in sports performance analysis. After Olly finished his masters in 2018, he was offered a small job in sports monitoring based in  Elmstead Market, near Colchester. This company supplied analytical services to ECB which gave a massive opportunity to Willams for working in IPL and eventually getting a call for the England camp.
