Erling Haaland has been monumental in his first campaign for Manchester City in Premier League.

The Norwegian Striker scored 31 goals in just 28 appearances after arriving from Dortmund. He has been in sensational goal-scoring form since arriving.

But Spanish reports suggest that Haaland asked his lawyers to bring forward his release clause in his contract before a prolific summer switch to Real Madrid. Haaland has a huge £175m release clause that comes into City deal in the summer of 2024.

However, reports also suggest that the 22-year-old haven’t “adapted” to Pep Guardiola’s style of play. He believes that is qualities are not being properly exploited by Spanish Maestro.

Real Madrid looks like a huge opportunity for Haaland to take his game to much higher levels. With Benzema getting older, Los Blancos will like to replace him in the coming years.

HAALAND AND GUARDIOLA ARE NOT ON SAME BOAT

According to the Spanish publication Defensa Central, the move looks quite possible in summer. It might stun City fans who hoped that the Norwegian will lead their attack in the future.

Also, Spanish Outlet Nacional suggested that Haaland’s relationship with Guardiola is “starting to rift”.

On Monday, City have found themselves in “deep water” as the Premier League have accused them of several financial breaches. If they find City guilty, they will impose several bans ranging from a fine, a points deduction, or possible banishment from the league.

Despite enjoying an outstanding season in the Etihad Stadium, there has been some criticism for his performances in Big Games. He looked in “incognito mode” against Tottenham, last week. His performance in Manchester Derby was hugely criticized as City lost a controversial game.

The Next Destination for Haaland looks quite suitable as Real Madrid have always produced “star players” and will continue to do so in the future.
