Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester City will announce their new signing in January. Romano claims that Finley Gorman will be the new signing for City. The transfer expert shared that the Leeds United ace Gorman has agreed a deal with European champions and also passed the medicals. Besides him, the Sky Blues will also be looking for another talent. River Plate talent Claudio Echeverri is the next on the list of the treble winners. He wrote on X that,
“Manchester City are planning to announce 2008 born top talent Finley Gorman as new signing early January.
And then focus on advancing in talks to sign Claudio Echeverri from River as negotiations have started, as revealed earlier.”
Gorman has scored two goals and assisted 1 in 5 games for the U18s this season. He plays as an attacking midfielder though he can also deploy himself on the wings as well. Moreover, City are now back in the market with one signing on the line and one complete. They are looking proactive with more players to join the youth academy. Despite a few injury setbacks, the Sky Blues have maintained their top4 position in the league. Moreover, they are recently crowned as the Club World Cup champions in Saudi Arabia. They beat South American side Fluminense in the final.
Pep Guardiola will be thinking of adding some first team players in the market. Although, Kevin De Bruyne will be returning next month from his injury. This is a huge pump for the defending champions as their talisman will be returning. If City want to retain their glory, they should improve their present form in the league.
