Ferran Torres set for a new lucrative deal with Manchester City

Manchester City is planning to offer attacker Ferran Torres a lucrative new contract at the Etihad Stadium.

The Spain international will be sidelined for at least a few months due to a foot fracture. But he quickly established himself as an important player under Pep Guardiola.

Torres scored two goals and set up another in four Premier League games before his injury. Manchester City is reportedly planning to reward its efforts with a large wage increase.

Torres is now making £40k per week at the Etihad after signing from Valencia last year. But he may expect his salary to be increased to £100k per week with new terms.

The 21-year-current old’s contract does not expire until the summer of 2025, but City is keen to extend it for another two years until 2027, according to the report.

Torres has 16 goals and four assists in 43 Premier League appearances for the champions, and he scored both of Spain’s goals in their Nations League semi-final triumph over Italy earlier this month before being forced off hurt.

Ferran Torres is still 21 years old which means the player has quite a high ceiling to his potential. While it must be noted that he has been made to play other positions than the one he prefers.
