Former Spurs midfielder Van der Vaart has described many Liverpool players as average players. He has even described Jordan Henderson as a normal player.

He has even slammed the performances of a number of Reds players. The former Ajax midfielder also believes they are not as good as the hype that surrounds them.

RAFAEL VAN DER MAART SLAMS THE PERFORMANCES OF LIVERPOOL PLAYERS

Rafael Van der Maart has called out Liverpool ahead of their game against Ajax. Former Spurs midfielder has also labeled many of their players as mediocre. He has also singled out Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez, and James Milner. The former midfielder has called them very normal players. He believes they are not as good as described by some.

He said,

“I think we have become a bit blinded. We suddenly think Jordan Henderson is a crazy player. “That’s just a very normal player. James Milner is also a very normal player. Joe Gomez is also a very normal player.”

Hence, his comments have made so much controversy. Many Liverpool fans are commenting that he is also trying to become famous by trolling them.

FORMER AJAX LEGEND IS TRYING TO CREATE UNNECESSARY OPINIONS

Van der Vaart made these comments on the Reds ahead of the Champions League game against Ajax on Tuesday evening. However, the comments were absolutely unnecessary. The comments made especially for Jordan Henderson are very harsh. He may not be the best operator like Modric and Toni Kroos. However, he has captained the club to reach heights.

The England midfielder played a big role in Jurgen Klopp’s side winning the Premier League and Champions League in recent years. Hence, calling him a mediocre player is not appropriate. However, Liverpool must not pay attention to unnecessary comments. They must answer him back by scoring goals against his former side Ajax.

Liverpool will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Champions League. In this season’s first match of the Champions League, they were thrashed by Napoli 4-1. Hence, Jurgen Klopp must get the best out of his players against a strong Ajax side.
