Leicester City were expected to fight for European football yet again this term. But the club are currently 12th in the Premier League table with some injury threat. While Everton are sitting just above the relegation zone. The club have picked up just 28 points from 30 league games so far this term. Frank Lampard will be hoping that his side can move six points clear of the relegation zone with a win over Leicester City.

Brendan Rodgers could be without four senior players going into the Premier League clash against Everton on Thursday due to injury. Everton head into the game after 11 days without a game in the league. The toffees defeated Manchester United last time around in the Premier League. While Leicester City suffered a 2-1 loss due to a late winner by Bruno Guimarães in the 95th minute. Both the clubs have had a very disappointing season until now.

Everton have been handed a major boost ahead of the clash as Yerry Mina is back in training after his quad injury. Manchester United loanee Donny van de Beek is also back in training after missing the last couple of games due to a thigh injury. While Andros Townsend, Tom Davies and Nathan Patterson are all ruled out of the game due to injury.

Leicester City injury update for the Everton clash

The foxes will be without star striker Jamie Vardy ahead of the clash against Everton. Vardy has recorded 12 goals across all competitions this term. But the forward has made just 24 appearances this term and has been on the sidelines since last month due to a knee injury. Talking about the forward in a recent interview, Brendan Rodgers said:

“That [final injection] was last night. We’ll see over the course of the next week what effect that brings. “Hopefully it can be positive news for us.”

Defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is out for the rest of the season due to some medial ligament damage. The defensive midfielder will have to undergo surgery for the same issue. Talking about the midfielder’s injury, Brendan Rodgers said:

“Wilfred Ndidi unfortunately will be out for the season, which is a shame for us. He’s been a brilliant player for me in my time here. He’s picked up a nasty injury and he has had to have surgery. He’ll recover through until June.”

Left-back Ryan Bertrand and goalkeeper Danny Ward are also ruled out of the clash due to injury setbacks.
