In their first match of the season, Newcastle would take on newly promoted Nottingham Forest at home. They would play their first away fixture against Brighton on August 13. However, they have a tough end to the month of August as they would have to play against Manchester City and Liverpool.
They would take on Chelsea at home before the mid-season break. The Magpies’ final league fixture would also be against Chelsea on May 28. Eddie Howe, Newcastle’s boss, would have a task at hand this season in the Premier League. However, would look to finish his team in the top half, this season.
The Englishman did a wonderful job the previous season, to finish his team at the 11th position. When he took over in December, the team looked to be getting relegated. Moreover, Newcastle are said to be spending handsomely to buy big players, this summer to bolster their squad.
