Greenwood and Ronaldo in a Furious Clash

The homecoming of Ronaldo wasn’t enough to save Man Utd from falling from grace.
Greenwood and Ronaldo reportedly clashed furiously back in December when Man Utd faced Newcastle. Struggling to make their mark during the game the duo didn’t want quick passes just for the sake of passes.
The Red Devils failed to win at St. James park thanks to Allan Saint-Maximin’s late strike coming at just 7 minutes on the clock.
Although Edi Cavani rescued Man Utd with his super late strike enough to secure a draw. De Gea also played a significant role with his outrageous saves in phasing out a draw from a potential loss.
Man Utd missed the chance to qualify for the champions league with a season nothing less than a bad nightmare.

Could Ronaldo have done better?

Disharmony and anger were a regular occurrence at Old Trafford among fans and players. Rangnick’s tactics didn’t work or the players lost motivation is still a debate but with the appointment of Ten Hag, there’s still hope. Ten Hag won’t make the team immediately better but he’ll need time like 3-4 years. There’s a reason Old Trafford is called the “theater of dreams” but the fans need to be patient.
Man Utd’s problems are way bigger than missing out on the champions league. The defense doesn’t have a clue of what they’re doing, Midfield can’t maintain possession, the attack doesn’t score goals but instead gets battered, and so on.
A lot of big names are set to leave Man Utd from every department making room for a major rebuild but destroying squad depth. Newcastle is a perfect example of what accurate recruits can do to a team. Before Christmas Newcastle was struggling to get out of the relegation zone but after the winter transfer the scenes were quite different. Let it be Tripper’s free-kick or Saint Maximin’s explosive pace accompanied by mind-boggling skills, the transfers were taking shapes.
Man Utd needs to pull something like Newcastle but the impact-wise needs to be a lot higher. Not only securing European game time but also being a strong contender for the title is what Man Utd needs to show.
