Ind vs Aus: Shubman Gill hurts himself after diving

The ongoing test series between India and Australia is led by the Indian team by 2-0. The regular test captain Pat Cummins flew back to Australia to be with his mother who is ill. Steve Smith is the captain for the third test. Shubman Gill replaces the former vice captain KL Rahul, who is dropped for not scoring enough runs.

The leading run scorer is the Indian Captain himself, Rohit Sharma. The captain is leading the team from the front. Ravindra Jadeja is the highest wicket-taker in this series till now. He made a vital contribution with the bat also.

Shubman Gill’s dive

In the seventh over, Shubman Gill had to dive to save his wicket. The call for the quick run was from himself. A direct hit would be close enough to make Gill walk back to the pavilion. He got out in the very next over of the match. He got out to LBW by  Kuhnemann.

Rohit Sharma won the toss in the third test and was elected to bat first. The first ball of the match itself was a wicket but the Bowling team didn’t take the review. The ball was spinning more than in the last two test matches. Matthew Kuhnemann took his maiden five-fer in test cricket. He took the wickets of both the Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma of the Indian team.

The Australian batsman batted better than the Indians and put some runs on the board. After the play of Day 1 the score of Australia is 156 for 4 wickets. They are leading by 47 runs with six more wickets in hand. It will be interesting to see the result of this test. The Aussies will look to take the lead further and win the test match.
